Hello :)
Today I've decided to do a review on one of my most recent purchases. I was wandering around Debenhams when I came across the Benefit section. I think Benefit is one of my favourite ever makeup brands. Their packaging is absolutely GORGEOUS and quirky and their products are amazing (I also love the cute names!). The only downside is the price, but I think it's worth it for the quality you get.
I've been looking for a cream based concealer and was considering buying the MAC Studio Finish or the Bobbi Brown Corrector, but when I came across this I thought I'd give it a try as I'd heard good things about it online.
When I first heard the name I thought it was just a pun, but when I tried it out I realised it really was like a paste - but in a good way. It blends easily but with an even coverage and stays on for hours. I wore it to school and didn't have to touch up once. It says that it's a brightener but I use it on blemishes aswell and works a treat.
It's very buildable, but one layer is enough for me as I like quite a natural finish. But, it'd be perfect for a night out or an occasion where lots of photos are being taken. It also has quite a matt finish, but it doesn't look obvious. It's as though it really does 'erase' your dark circles.
I like the packaging, but I kind of wish there was more product in there considering the price of it. But I do like the fact that it comes with an instruction sheet as it gives people inspiration if they're just starting out with makeup.
So, final conclusions..
Pros;
- good coverage
- great staying power
- cute, fun packaging
- comes with instruction sheet
- buildable
Cons;
- expensive
- not much product
- quite small
Overall, I really like this concealer. But, I wish it was a bit bigger for the price that you pay. Might try the MAC Studio Finish next time.
Have you tried this concealer? What do you think?
