FOTD #1 | Easy Summer Makeup


Hey everyone :)

As inspired by the lovely Lily Pebbles from What I Heart Today, I've decided to start doing regular Face of the Day posts - meaning I'll be showing you the different makeup looks I like to wear. I like to change up how I wear makeup everyday so hopefully these posts will be interesting for you :)



For my first FOTD post I've decided to go for a simple, summery look that's nice and natural.

I started off with my Benefit Porefessional primer to create a smooth base for my makeup, then used a tiny bit of my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation to cover up some redness on my cheeks, blending it in with my Real Techniques Expert Face brush.

Then, to cover up my horrendous dark circles (from watching too many youtube videos when I should be sleeping), I used my beloved Bobbi Brown Corrector which is great for correcting blue toned discolouration around the eye area - I thoroughly recommend it.

For the eyes I used a shimmery white eyeshadow from MUA just in the inner corner to highlight, and just did a simple flick with my No. 7 felt eyeliner in black (this is quickly becoming my signature look). I curled my lashes and applied my new favourite mascara, Maybelline's Illegal Length mascara - it does wonders, trust me. For the lips I just swept on some Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey.


To finish I just set my makeup with my translucent powder from Elizabeth Arden and sweeped my new Mosaic Bronzer from Collection on the highest points of my face - to make it look like I've actually spent some time in the sun this summer :)
