Hey everyone :)
Today I thought I'd do my first favourites post. I know I'm a little late but I'm sure you can forgive me ;)
First up is the Nivea Express Hydration Primer. This has been a god-send for me this winter as I have very dry, sensitive skin and it's almost impossible to apply foundation without looking 'cakey'. Not only does this provide a smooth base, but it's also great for when you're running late for school as it doubles up as a moisturiser and primer. It's a lightweight, cream formula that goes on clear and smells really fresh.
I got the 'Dry Skin' formula but they also have one for oily and combination skin types if you're interested :) It's also really affordable at only £4.99.
My second favourite is the Erase Paste by Benefit which is slightly pricey at £19.50, but a great concealer. It has a very odd, paste-like texture (as suggested in the name) but goes on very smoothly and doesn't slide around. It's also very buildable so can be used for blemishes as well as dark circles, but I think the coverage could probably be better for the price.
I've also been loving this Match Perfection Foundation by Rimmel. As usual, I was too pale for any of the shades, but what's great about this foundation is that it kind of changes as it dries (magic). I'd say that this foundation is definitely more suited for night time makeup, but it has great coverage and as always a really nice scent. I don't know what it is about Rimmel foundations but they always smell really great - is it just me?
Anyway, I really love the lasting power of this foundation and think that I'll definitely be using it when I have a bit more of a tan. And at £6.99 you can't really go wrong! :)
As I mentioned in my Mini Beauty Haul, I finally decided to try Maybelline's The Falsies Mascara - and I LOVE it! It adds loads of volume and length to your lashes with only one coat and doesn't smudge throughout the day. It's also really easy to take off at night, meaning I don't get panda eyes in the morning (always a bonus). One thing I'm not sure people will like is that it is slightly clumpy and messy to apply, I end up having to clean up with a cotton bud. But for the quality and the price, £7.99, I don't really mind :)
I've had really problematic skin recently - dry patches, spots, you name it - so I've been on the hunt for a face wash that helps clear up my blemishes etc. without taking away all the moisture with it. This Pore & Shine Daily Wash by Neutrogena is amazing and I can't believe it's only £4. It's a gel wash that lathers really well and leaves your skin feeling very clean and refreshed. I've already noticed a difference in my skin.
I cannot even explain how amazing this product smells. It says that it contains tangerine and lime but it smells slightly like apricot to me for some reason. Either way, this is definitely one of my favourite face washes I've tried so far :)
My very kind Aunty gave me this Chanel Nail Colour for Christmas and I absolutely love it. It's a deep burgundy/brown and not something I usually go fo. It looks very sophisticated but still very pretty and the quality, as you would expect, is amazing. It applies really well, it's beautifully glossy and lasts up to a week with a base and top coat. I'm excited to try some more of these polishes - if I can afford to.
My last favourite is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. I'd never really gone for cream eyeshadows, but I can't believe how versatile they are. I use this as an all over colour, a liner or even just in the crease. These cream shadows are ridiculously pigmented and last me all day without budging. I won't rave too much as I'm sure most people have had enough of bloggers going on about these, but if you haven't tried them yet I really recommend them. They're awesome.
I hope you liked this post, if you did please remember to comment any suggestions and follow this blog for more posts like this one :)
