Hey everyone :)
This week I FINALLY went to LUSH (yay!). I've been to the one in Cardiff but we didn't have much time and the shop was quite small, so this time I was determined to have a proper look in the bigger shop in Carmarthen.
LUSH products are raved about all over the internet, so I knew which products I was thinking of buying before I even walked into the shop. But I had a really good look at all the products and the woman there was really helpful and good at explaining how each of the products worked.
The Popcorn Lip Scrub is a product I have been lusting for for ages! And I can say that it's definitely worth the hype. It's made of Coconut Oil and Sugar along with a 'buttery, caramel' taste. You basically rub it onto your lips to get rid of any dry skin, preparing your lips for lipstick or tint and leaving you chap-free.
The best part about this product is that you get the lick it off afterwards - it tastes AMAZING. If you haven't tried this product I would definitely recommend it; it's perfect for people who suffer from chapped-lips during the winter and creates a smooth base for lip colours.
Next is a product I've also been eyeing up for a while - Grease Lightning. It's a super fast spot treatment made with natural ingredients and claims that it quickly treats the spot without harming the rest of your face. I have only been using this stuff for 3-4 days and I've already noticed a difference. I usually get a lot of small blemishes on my chin and they have definitely cleared up since I added this product to my skincare routine (please let me know if you want me to do a blog post dedicated to this by the way).
It's a clear, gel formula and a little goes a long way. After applying it gives a 'tightening' sensation (if you know what I mean) but I don't mind because it lets you know that the product is doing something and isn't just sitting there. It's also a really quick fix in the morning if you're still at school :)
One product I had never heard of before, but instantly fell in love with, was Lemony Flutter (love the name!). It's a rich, creamy and moisturizing butter for all the 'dry bits' - a.k.a hands, feet, elbows etc.
I suffer from really dry skin during this time of the year and as soon as I tried this product in the shop I knew I had to buy it. It's heavily moisturizing - which is great for me but may not be suitable for oily skin types - and has a deliciously lemon-y scent.
The woman in the shop also gave me a little tip for this product which may come in handy for people with dry hands and feet - if you use some coarse sea salt with this butter and massage it into your hands and feet, leaving for 5-10 minutes, it really softens and smoothes out the flaky bits and leaves your skin feeling super soft. I haven't tried this yet but I definitely will.
I hoped you enjoyed this post! If you have any recommendations for other LUSH products please let me know, I can't wait to go back ;)
