My Spring Picks #3 - Face

Hey everyone :)

This post is the last of the 'My Spring Picks'  series that I've been doing on this blog and next up - you guessed it - is face products.

As we descend into summer and it starts to get a bit warmer - with emphasis on bit here in the UK - I prefer wearing lighter and more natural bases like tinted moisturizers. I'm not really a heavy foundation wear-er anyway, but these products feel great on my skin and I don't have to worry about them melting off.

If you missed the previous 'My Spring Picks' posts you can click here to read Part 1, and here to read Part 2.

First is my new - and first! - holy grail foundation. I love this stuff so much.

It's the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation and it's absolutely amazing for my pale, dull and dry skin. I know they've just released a newer version of Healthy Mix that claims to add some glow to you're skin, but I'm not a huge fan of dewy complexions - on me anyway - so this was the one I went for.

The coverage is light/medium, it's quite moisturising, the packaging is convenient (yay for a pump!) and it has a really nice fruity smell. The only bad thing about it is the lasting power isn't great, but you could always use a primer or setting spray to make it last the day.

Another foundation that's great for Spring/Summer is the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. Again, it gives a really natural finish but the coverage is much lighter. I think I'd like this a little more if it was the right colour for me - it's a little too yellow - but I can tell that it's a great foundation that a lot of people will love.

*Just as a tip for those of you that want lighter coverage foundations in the warmer weather, something I always do is to mix my favourite foundation with some moisturiser. It gives you light coverage, moisture and a more natural finish!

Next up is another new favourite - the Bobbi Brown Corrector. I've been longing to buy this for ages so finally bit the bullet, and I am SO glad. The purpose of this product is to cancel out the blue tones under your eyes and even out your skin tone, it's kind of like a base for your concealer.

Although it's pricey at £18, it's an amazing, creamy and long lasting product. I would definitely recommend it for Spring and Summer because although it's a very creamy formula, it stays put through the heat and doesn't crease on me at all.

Last of my picks is the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Powder, which you can see a full review of here. But long story short - it's translucent, gives a natural finish and reduces shine. Again, it's quite pricey, but well worth it in my opinion.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Please remember to follow this blog for more and say hello in the comments :)
