Makeup Mess Mondays | #2

Hello everyone :)

If you missed last week's Makeup Mess Monday, I'm starting a new series in which I show you all the products that crowd my desk on a busy Monday morning. It's an easy way to see which products I reach for most and my favourites for those 'I've only got 10 minutes to get ready' days. We all have them.

My favourite lip product for when I'm in a rush is the Korres Lip Butter in Quince. It moisturises the lips and adds a hint of colour so that you look a little bit more put together.

I can't get ready without listening to some music - my favourite album at the moment is Opposites by Biffy Clyro. It's pretty damn amazing.

Next is my trusty Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation. I've harped on about this plenty in the past, but I really do love it. It's great for brightening up a dull, tired complexion and has a really nice dewy-not shiny finish. It's a bit sheer, but if I need a tad more coverage I just mix it with Revlon Colourstay.

Probably my most used palette is this beauty from Sleek; the Au Natural palette. It's part of their I Divine eye shadow palette collection and is full of the perfect nude shades for everyday and evening looks. I've done a review of this palette here, but my favourite shades at the moment are Taupe, Nougat and Cappucino.

I then apply these with the Real Techniques Shading Brush - the perfect multitasking eyeshadow brush. I definitely need more of these brushes in my collection as they are such great quality for the low price point.

Rimmel are quickly becoming my favourite drugstore brand, and two of my favourite products are the Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara and the Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in Nude. I recently reviewed the mascara here, but in short - it's holy grail material - and the liner is great for brightening up my waterline when I've spent too much time reading blogs and not enough time sleeping.

I've been struggling with a lot of breakouts recently (sob) which I've actually never had to deal with before, so I was a bit lost. I'd heard amazing things about the Freederm Gel, an 'anti-inflammatory spot treatment', and although it hasn't made a huge difference yet in terms of making them go away, it has definitely reduced the swelling and redness.

I'm also trying out the Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer, seeing as I love the foundation so much. I bought the lightest shade in 51 and it looks quite yellow at first, but once blended it really brightens dark circles and is a great highlighting concealer. It's not really something I'd use to cover blemishes but it's a lovely product.
