Hey everyone :)
Recently I've been wearing my makeup a little differently so I thought I'd do a little face of the day for you all.
Last month I had a bit of a problem with my eye - it was constantly watering - and my doctor advised me not to wear any eye makeup for a while. Now I'd been used to wearing a cat eye every single day so this was a bit of an adjustment for me. But even though my eye's back to normal now I'm still wearing minimal eye makeup - and I quite like it.
Now that Spring and Summer are quickly approaching, I've swapped my foundation for the No. 7 Tinted Moisturizer. I love tinted moisturizers all year round as they hydrate my dry, flaky skin while giving a dewy, radiant glow and a little bit of coverage. I just popped a bit of the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer under my eyes, down the nose and on my brow bone for a highlight then finished with powder.
On my eyes I used a few shades from my MUA Heaven and Earth palette. I sweeped a medium, shimmery brown all over the lid, added some definition in the crease with a warmer, darker brown, then highlighted my inner corner with a shimmery champagne.
Then I tight lined with a brown kohl pencil and applied some of my Maybelline The Falsies mascara on my top lashes, and Avon Super Extend on the bottom lashes.
On the lips I just finished with a Barry M Lipgloss Wand in shade 12 - which surprisingly is a bubblegum pink. It's not something I usually go for, but seeing as it's spring I thought I'd experiment a little bit :)
Lastly I thought I'd just show you something I've been doing with my hair recently. I'm in that awkward stage where I'm kind of growing out my fringe, but I don't want to completely get rid of it. So to keep it tamed while I'm making up my mind, I 've been wearing this super simple twist braid. Basically, you take a 2 inch section at the start of your fringe, split it in half then twist the piece closest to your face over the other. Keep adding pieces of hair as you go along, then use bobby pins to secure once you reach your ear - tadaa!
I hope you enjoyed this post! Keep checking back on this blog as I'm doing a little 'My Spring Picks' series. Read Part 1 here.
