My Spring Picks #1 | Nails

Hey everyone :)

I've decided to start a little series of posts called 'My Spring Picks'. It'll be split into 3 parts, and will feature some of my favourite beauty picks for this season.
As you can probably tell from the title, this first post will be about my favourite spring nail polishes :)  Hope you enjoy!

First up is this beautiful pink/purple by Mavala called Ginza (I love that name!).  I'm not really one for pastel nail polishes, but this is the perfect spring shade for me. It's still light and pretty enough for spring, but not too pale for my skin tone.

It's hard to see it in the photo but it has a really interesting shot of shimmer through it which you don't really notice until you're in the sun. At only £4 these nail polishes are a great bargain - they last 3-4 days with a base coat and I love the cute little packaging.

Next is an old favourite of mine. I think this was a birthday present from a friend which I wore pretty much non stop for 2 months. I unfortunately forgot I had it, but I've recently rediscovered it as the perfect bright colour for this season.

This red called St James by Nails Inc. has a slightly orange tone to it which I quite like, but it looks better on me when I have a tan so I'll have to start going outside more instead of blogging all day :) As always, the quality of this nail polish is amazing and it gives a really glossy finish with just one coat. Although it's quite pricey at £11, I think it's worth it.

My next pick is definitely a staple when it comes to spring nail polish. Blueberry by Barry M has become so popular in the blog-osphere (especially the new 'gelly' version) and is one of the only pastel nail shades that suits me.

It's a pale yet vibrant blue and is very opaque. It's one of those colours that just suits everyone and ties in with this season's blue trend.

The last one is quite an unusual one. It's surprisingly by Lacura (the makeup brand by Aldi - yep, I can't believe it either) which my mum swears by. She bought me this and I instantly fell in love with it. I don't have anything like this in my collection and thought it was really interesting and unique.

It's a pastel-ish green shade with a hint of turquoise. It looks really nice with my skin tone and goes really well with a lot of my outfits. I think this was around £2 which is amazing. Maybe I should check out some more Lacura products and do a post on them? :)

So that's it for Part 1 of My Spring Beauty Picks. Can you guess what Part 2 will be about? :)
