Everyday Spring Makeup Tutorial

Hey everyone :)

I've been doing something a little different with my eye makeup now that we're getting into Spring and Summer, and thought it would be fun to show you all. I use all 'drugstore' (aka Boots and Superdrug) products but you can definitely substitute some of them for higher end products if you want to.




I started with my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1 to cover up my dark circles and brighten up my eyes. I love this concealer as it gives great coverage, it's the perfect colour for me and it's cheap as chips.
Then, I primed my eyelids with the Nude Slip Shadow Primer from my Lauren Luke palette.



I've recently been loving these single eyeshadows from The Body Shop. I bought them ages ago but have been using them constantly. I used this shimmery pink shade all over the lids for a pop of colour and to bring out my blue eyes. If you have brown/green eyes you can go for a blue or green instead.



To add some definition in the crease and tone down the pink, I used a bronze shadow in the outer corner, crease and lower lashline.



Just keep blending the shadows until you are happy with the effect (left). Next, I tight-lined my eyes with a black liner - make sure you use one that's waterproof so it doesn't smudge. If you're not so great with tight-lining, you can always draw a very thin line as close to the lashes as possible.



To finish, I curled my lashes and applied a few coats of my trusty Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. This mascara is great for creating winged out, voluminous lashes and is definitely a staple in my makeup bag.



And that's the finished look! :)

I've loved wearing a bit of colour on my eyes for a change and now that the weather's getting warmer and the sun's getting brighter I might do some more experimenting in the future.
