Lana Del Ray Inspired Eye Makeup | Beauty

Although she's not to everyone's taste, I really love Lana Del Ray's classic yet edgy look and think that she has real talent. So, I thought I'd do my first makeup tutorial post on her classic makeup look.

I'm going to do just a classic Lana Del Ray look, with a deep navy-grey crease and jet black liner.

1. Start with your favourite foundation - the one that works best for you. I'll always talk about the foundations that work well with my skin, but they won't always suit everyone. I would use one with a bit more coverage as Lana has flawless skin, but choose one that suits you best.

2. Then prep your eyes with your favourite primer. Here I'm using the Elf Eyelid Primer all over my lid.

3. Next, with a fluffy eyeshadow brush, use a light flesh coloured shadow all over your lid to even out any discoloration on your lids. For this look I am using Acessorize 32 colour eyeshadow pallete.

4. With the same brush, apply a light blue/grey shadow in the crease and outer corner of the eye. This will add the subtle blue tint that Lana has under her eye makeup.

5. Next, use a crease brush to apply a dark grey shadow heavily into the crease. Make sure that you apply in layers and spend time blending away harsh edges - it makes a huge difference with this look.

6. This step is optional, but if you want to add more drama to the look, apply a dark, glittery grey into the crease to further define the eyes.

7. To finish off the eyeshadow, use a shimmery white shadow as a highlight. Apply it in the inner corners of your eyes, along your browbone and in the middle of your lid. This will brighten your eyes and make you look more awake.

8. To get the polished look, use a liquid liner to thickly line the upper lash line, here I'm using the Maybelline Master Precise liner. Make sure that the line is clean and smooth. Then, add volume to your lashes with a volumising mascara such as the Maybelline Colossal Lash mascara. Make sure you curl your lashes before hand to make the most out of them.

So that's the finished look! I love makeup and beauty just as much as fashion so it's great fun to do these little beauty posts every once in a while. Please let me know if you like them, I'll do more :)

My Favourite Autumn Accessories ¦ 2012

I've been loving accessories this summer, and on my birthday I had at least 10 bracelets given to me (not complaining at all!) so I thought I'd share with you some of my favourites for this season - and a few that I got for my birthday :)

This summer I've really been loving surf bracelets. The straw one is a gift from Menorca but the wooden-beaded one is from Fat Face. I think these look really casual and cool for when you don't want to put much effort in, but may not translate into Autumn. Still, there's no reason you can't stock up for next year :)

I got this cute little string bracelet from Internacionale. It ties in with the gothic trend with the little skulls but isn't OTT. They have loads of cute little bracelets like these on offer, so get down there now while you can!

I love quirky earrings and thought that these unicorns were really cute and unique. I got these in a pack from Next for around £7 which is amazingly cheap, and they really are good quality. The pack also included some Shells, Seahorses and Horse Shoes. I love them all :)

So that's it for my faavourite accessories at the moment. I've also been loving my Nomination charm bracelet but I'm going to be doing a whole post on it soon so keep checking back :)

The Perfect Boots! | KOI Couture Bargain

I've found the perfect boots!! YAY!
Every Autumn and Winter I try and find the perfect fit, brown leather ankle boots that I've always dreamed of.. and  I always come away empty handed. But not this year! I was tinkering around on Ebay (my new guilty pleasure) when I came across these gorgeous military style ankle boots. They are exactly what I wanted. No tacky studs or embellishments, just the right height and they were only £13. Who could ask for more?
They are very good quality and go with almost anything. I've mostly been wearing them with wooly socks, leggings and chunky knits, but I think they'd look great with tights and shorts or some printed jeans. The possibilities are endless!
They are a bit squeaky though, I need to break them in :)

P.S.
Sorry I haven't been posting as often as I should. It's my last year of GCSE's so there's been a lot of pressure and work to deal with. So, I'm going to be posting over the weekends only as this is the only time I'll be able to. So make sure you check back every weekend for some new posts :)

OOTN - Birthday Meal :)

I went out for a meal with my friends last night to celebrate my birthday and had a really great time :) I took around 300 photos but unfortunately I can't upload that many :( So I'll just do my OOTN and a few highlights from last night :) Enjoy!

OOTN
I've been looking for a skater dress that fits me for ages (I'm ridiculously small) and I finally found one.. in Primark?!
It's surprising good quality and was £13 so I'm very happy with it :) (I'm wearing a size 6)
I wore it with my brown leather pumps and my leather handbag :)

Highlights from last night..

So that's it for my OOTN and a few cheeky photos ;)
Check back here for an upcoming Birthday & August Haul soon :D

OOTD - 1/09/2012 :)

Pinch punch first day of the month!

Hello :) Here's an outfit of the day for you. I'll be doing these every time I'm going somewhere nice or just like my outfit. I'll be doing one tonight as well as I'm having a birthday meal with my friends. I'll try and persuade them to be on here aswell ;)

I don't normally wear leggings so this was a rare occasion for me :)
I love this outfit for days when you can't be bothered to dress up but need to look decent .. I have many of those days.

My denim shirt and leggings are from H&M and my printed vest is from Camden Market when I went there in June :)

And of course my Converse's are from Converse :D I have these dark red ones and I have some blue Converse Lights aswell :)

Thought I'd show you my hair as well as I'm pretty surprised by my craftsmanship :) (It's a braided headband from my own hair if you're wondering)

So that's if for my OOTD. I'll be posting an outfit of the night tomorrow so be sure to check back! I may be doing a haul as well if you're interested :)
