Summer Favourites 2013 | Revlon, Bourjois, Next & More..

Hey everyone :)

The weather in the UK recently has been AMAZING (for once) so I decided it was time to show you all some of my favourite products for the summer - including a new bikini!

My first (and probably most) favourite product at the moment is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in the shade 001 Honey (Wow that's a mouthful!). I'm a fan of more natural makeup during the summer and this gives the perfect subtle look but is still great for a pop of colour.

It has a typical 'balm' formula, but leaves a stain on the lips that lasts all day. It's super easy to apply for people (like me) who tend to shy away from lipsticks, and another thing I really like about this product is that is has a fresh minty scent to it. I'm tempted to go and get some more colours soon! :)

This is my favourite fragrance this summer - it's girly, fruity but still sophisticated. I also really like the packaging because it's easy to put in my handbag without having to worry about it getting damaged.

I've got a little bit of a tan at the moment so this concealer is finally the right shade for me (yes!). I love the creamy and easy to blend formula, and use it to brighten my under eyes and highlight my brow bone etc.

If you want to find out more, I've done a full review here.

During the summer I prefer a lighter, more moisturising foundation and this new version of the classic healthy mix is just perfect for my dry skin. It gives a nice dewy finish and doesn't look at all cakey so will have a permanent place in my makeup bag this summer.

I bought this mascara on the ferry to Calais a few weeks ago as I realised I'd completely run out of mascara (eek!). I only noticed after I bought it that it has fibre extensions and was pleasantly surprised. It really lengthens the lashes without any 'clumps' and I've even been asked if I was wearing falsies. That must be a good sign!

I also wanted to mention this beautiful floral bikini I got from Next last week. I got it from an outlet in Bridgend for only £18 which I think is a really good bargain considering how amazing the quality is.

I love the pattern and the ruffle detailing on the top, and it has removable straps which means I can do some tanning while I'm off school (always a good factor). If you are looking for the perfect summer bikini I would definitely recommend Next - they size them according to bra size, they have a range of different designs and patterns, and many of them are wired so you have nothing to worry about.

What are your favourite products for the summer? Let me know in the comments :)

The Oxblood Pout | ft. Rimmel & Rochas

Hey everyone :)

I'm back from my little blogging break with a new obsession of mine - the 'oxblood pout'.

There's something very sophisticated and modern about this burgundy, oxblood, wine red lip that I really love. You can team it with simple eyeliner for daytime, then vamp it up with a smokey eye for the evening - it's very versatile.

I've found the perfect products to create this classic look - Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 and the Rochas Lip Contouring Pencil in Delicacy Red.

The lipstick has a matte texture but isn't drying on the lips, and has a distinct scent that I adore. I can't wear dark lipstick without a liner, so I use this dark red lip liner to outline my lips and especially to define my cupid's bow. The liner also comes with a little brush at the end that I use the apply and blend the lipstick - very handy!

This is a look that I'd never usually go for, but this summer I've decided to be more daring so I may be rocking this pout more often! What about you? :)

Rome 2013

Hey everyone :)

Last week I went on a trip to Rome with my school and it was absolutely amazing. I took quite a few pictures while I was there so thought it would be fun to share some of them with you all.

To get there, we had a 24 hour coach journey including an hour on the ferry from Dover to Calais. It was an experience shall we say :)

On the way to Rome we stopped in Florence for a few days, visiting the Duomo Cathedral and just having a wander through the city. It's a truly beautiful place and the ice cream there is to die for!

Whilst in Florence we also stopped at the Piazza Michaelangelo to see the famous statue and have a wander around.

Next we set off for Rome and had a tour of the Vatican City which is just breathtaking. I love art so it was really interesting learning about all the different paintings and sculptures.

We also visited the Coliseum on the hottest day of the whole trip ( for those of you wondering my dress is from Primark!)

We also visited the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Assisi and Lake Garda. Lake Garda was especially beautiful even in the overcast weather, I'd love to visit there again :)

I wish I could talk about it more but I think this post would go on forever if I did :) If you want to know anything about the trip or if want a post on what outfits or makeup I wore etc, feel free to tell me in the comments :)
