MUA Eyeshadow Rave! | Review

Hello everyone :) Today I thought I'd do a review of some MUA eyeshadows that I've literally been using every single day. I'm obsessed! :)

I picked these up at my local Superdrug after reading a blog post from  Essie Button (one of my favourite bloggers). I got two Pearl shadows and one Matt.

I'll start with the first Pearl shadow in shade 02. It's a shimmery white colour that's perfect for a highlight, and the pigmentation on all of these shadows is absolutely amazing. You'd never believe they were £1 each!
The only thing that annoys me about MUA shadows, is that they don't have names, they just have shade numbers. I know that it's not all about the branding, but it does make a difference. Do you think that the MAC eyeshadows would feel as special without names such as Brule, Carbon or Ricepaper? It adds a professional and special touch to the product that I think MUA are really missing out on.

Anyway, (sorry for the rant) the shadow looks beautiful on the skin as well as in the pan, and really catches the light for an amazing highlight in your inner corners and brow bone. One thing I would be careful of, is not to go overboard. It is highly pigmented and can look OTT if used incorrectly.

The next shadow was a Matt shade in 17. It's a very natural/flesh toned colour that I use just to even out the skin tone on my eye lids. Once again, it's got amazing pigmentation and is amazing for when you just can't be arsed in the morning. It's one of those shadows you can just sweep on and be out the door in five minutes. This is quickly becoming a beauty staple of mine! :D

As you can see above, it blends really well with my skin and you can barely notice it - I'm hooked!

This last shadow is absolutely beautiful. It's a pearl shadow in the shade 25 and reminds me of MAC Cranberry. It's a beautiful burgundy, shimmery shadow and looks amazing in the crease or along the lashline for some drama. I wish I could wear this everyday but that might be going overboard as it's definitely more of a night-time shade. But it really is amazing quality for £1, I'm gobsmacked.

Another thing, this shadow looks great on olive skin tones as well as pale tones. I tried it out on my fried and it looked amazing :)

Hope you enjoyed this blog post! If you know of any another MUA shadows I'd like please let me know in the comments. I want to stock up :D
Thanks for reading! Come back for more :)

Benefit Erase Paste | beauty review

Hello :)
Today I've decided to do a review on one of my most recent purchases. I was wandering around Debenhams when I came across the Benefit section. I think Benefit is one of my favourite ever makeup brands. Their packaging is absolutely GORGEOUS and quirky and their products are amazing (I also love the cute names!). The only downside is the price, but I think it's worth it for the quality you get.

I've been looking for a cream based concealer and was considering buying the MAC Studio Finish or the Bobbi Brown Corrector, but when I came across this I thought I'd give it a try as I'd heard good things about it online.

When I first heard the name I thought it was just a pun, but when I tried it out I realised it really was like a paste - but in a good way. It blends easily but with an even coverage and stays on for hours. I wore it to school and didn't have to touch up once. It says that it's a brightener but I use it on blemishes aswell and works a treat.

It's very buildable, but one layer is enough for me as I like quite a natural finish. But, it'd be perfect for a night out or an occasion where lots of photos are being taken. It also has quite a matt finish, but it doesn't look obvious. It's as though it really does 'erase' your dark circles.

I like the packaging, but I kind of wish there was more product in there considering the price of it. But I do like the fact that it comes with an instruction sheet as it gives people inspiration if they're just starting out with makeup.

So, final conclusions..

Pros;
- good coverage
- great staying power
- cute, fun packaging
- comes with instruction sheet
- buildable

Cons;
- expensive
- not much product
- quite small

Overall, I really like this concealer. But, I wish it was a bit bigger for the price that you pay. Might try the MAC Studio Finish next time.

Have you tried this concealer? What do you think?

WILDFOX DUPE ALERT!

I'm a huge fan of the Wildfox jumpers. They're quirky, colourful and beautifully made. The only problem however is the price tag... The VERY BIG price tag.
Although they are absolutely gorgeous, £100 is a bit ridiculous for a jumper.
But I was shopping in Cardiff yesterday when I came across this amazing jumper from New Look. I haven't been a huge fan of New Look lately; the clothes have become overpriced and uninspiring to me. But when I came across this I ran to the changing rooms.

It's a beautiful cable knit jumper which is mostly burgundy but has some cream in it aswell. It has the famous big heart print that Wildfox has become famous for, and is so warm and comfy - perfect for autumn/winter.
I think I'm going to be living in this jumper this winter, probably with leggings and my military boots.
The best thing about this though... it's £17.99!! Ahh!!

Have you found any other dupes of brands like Wildfox? If so, let me know!!
